Ultimate Truth – The Revival

My little hiatus whatever you want to call it is over now. I’ll be very slowly updating the collection so don’t expect things to be like they used to. I uploaded 3 versions of Ultimate Truth Yuyuko Saigyouji’s Stage Theme as a revival of the collection. It really did revive my love for Touhou music which I sadly lost touch of for some time. Without further delay let’s get into the music.

Starting out the revived is a very simple cover of Ultimate Truth. This song was exactly what I was looking for when I was first looking for an arrange/cover. It’s simplicity is what makes it so beautiful. No more words are needed, just enjoy what you hear.

This song broke my little idea of a two song revival making it three. I didn’t even think of finding a gorgeous orchestrated Ultimate Truth so this caught me completely off guard. Anyone who has gone through the entire collection knows that I love a good orchestrated piece and I can say that as of right now this is the one for Ultimate Truth.

I don’t even know where to start when trying to put this song under a genre. It’s just a perfect mix of a lot of things. I originally planned on putting a solid rock arrange in for the last song, but was disappointed to find none that were up to my standards. That was when I came across this. And this is simply amazing.

With the collection out of it’s little break I hope to find more songs for you to enjoy. Of course Ultimate Truth won’t be showing up any time soon unless… I find something even more amazing than what you just heard.

Going on a hiatus

I’ve been a little busy recently with school the past few weeks and right now I don’t feel like adding to the collection so I figured I’d just go on hiatus for a little while. Don’t worry this isn’t a ‘never coming back’ message in disguise, I do plan on continuing with this, just not right now. So in the post I’ll catch up with the only two which haven’t been talked about yet, 0041 and 0042.

The first is a song I had sitting around for a while and finally got around to uploading (I had the video ready since ~0020). It’s a nice instrumental of Beware the Umbrella Left There Forever from UFO.

The second is a beautiful orchestrated piece from the same circle who did 0040. Maiden’s Capriccio ~ Dream Battle is a classic in my opinion. Maybe not as much as most of the ‘classic Touhou songs’ , but it still is one. The thing I love the most about this song is how it kept the feeling of the original. I’m not a fan of Reimu, but there’s no denying that this is a great song.

That wraps all the songs up for now. I don’t know when things will start up again, but if you’re subscribed you won’t have any trouble finding out.

End of Part IV – 0035 – 0040

I’ve been lazy and haven’t made a post yet for these songs so here they all are in one post. End of Part IV means that part of the collection is now available for download. The songs are here while the images are here.

For the second half of Part IV we have a nice arrange of Flowering Night with a little something else. Like always I’ll leave it up to you to find out what that is.  Flowering Night is up there in my favorite ZUN songs, though it doesn’t quite reach the top I love it very much. I actually couldn’t believe that I hadn’t put a Flowering Night song into the collection until now. All in all this is a nice piece.

Plain Asia is a good song that I admit to not liking for a long time. Now that I love it I wanted to find a good arrange for it, but there wasn’t too many to choose from. While that did make me sad I was happy that this one was really good. I know it’s an old song so most have probably heard it before, but it just had to be in the collection. There was no way I would ignore a song like this.

Another older arrange for a song that doesn’t have many. It’s really sad that there isn’t a lot of arranges/covers for the Grimoire of Alice. It is infact one of my favorite PC-98 songs, and no not because it’s Alice’s theme (Though I do love Alice very much). This song worked perfectly with the picture as well.

This arrange of Wind God Girl I already have uploaded on my youtube account, but I don’t really care since the it’s the best arrange of the song I’ve heard yet. It’s so full of life and speed, just like Aya. I don’t know about the rest of you, but Wind God Girl is a really good song and I’m not talking about this arrange. The long version of the song is amazing. And if you haven’t heard it yet then go do that now!

Yet another song that doesn’t have many arranges/covers even though it should. Poison Body ~ Forsaken Doll is sadly far too much overlooked. Even Medicine Melancholy herself is overlooked as there is hardly any fanart of her. This arrange is a Metal/Rock which doesn’t really fit her, but at the same time it does. Enough of my rambling though.

Rounding out Part IV is a lovely instrumental of Faith is for the Transient People. I’m not a big fan of Sanae, but I don’t hate her either. But I do like her theme. While I do know that this isn’t the arrange with the most ‘bang’ it’s still very good. I put it here because there were so many rock/metal songs it was time to slow things down a bit.

Well you know where to find the downloads for Part IV if you’re not getting them now. I already have the next song prepared, but there will be a slow down for a special song is coming soon. I’m sure some people will be able to guess what’s coming later this week…

Locked Girl & Short Break

Well I got sick recently and so I plan on taking the next few days easy, which means no additions to the collection. Sorry, but right now I feel my health is more important, I’m sure at least some of you will understand. That aside I do have a new song today.

0034 is an arrange Locked Girl ~ The Girl’s Secret Room. I’m not a fan of Patchouli, but I must admit that I do feel some sort of closeness to her. I do though, love her theme. Right now I’m sure just hbow original this piece is, but if anything it’s good. I don’t have much else to say other than that so enjoy.

Hopefully I’ll be all better and the collection will be back with a bang soon.

Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom ~ 3rd Eye

For the lack of a better title you get that. Indeed Satori Maiden ~ 3rd Eye makes it’s way into Nuke-tan Collection again. Along with Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom ~ Nuclear Fusion X2. This was a bit of an odd grouping since there shouldn’t be two songs based off the same song close together. Ah well the collection is named after Okuu so I let it pass.

Starting out Part IV is a nice arrange for Satori Maiden. This song gets quite a lot of arranges and covers, but sadly most sound the same. I am happy to say that this one is infact different. And in more ways than one. If you want to know then you had better have a listen.

The next song is very different. I can’t really say what genre it falls into since I have no clue. I fully understand if you don’t like this piece with all things considered. But this is a song I loved the first time I heard it. I think it shows you Okuu’s raw power in music form. It really can’t get much more raw than this.

The last song for today is something I’ve been waiting for. A good vocal arrange of Nuclear Fusion. It’s a lot different than most Nuclear Fusion arranges you hear, since most are either rock, fast, or both. The vocalist’s voice is so soothing as well. I really hope a lot of people love this piece.

After all that I wonder what’ll come next…

Magical Battle – End of Part III

With this post Part III has ended. And of course I have everything ready. You can get Part III music here and the images here, or you can get them later from the Nuke-tan Collection page.

Rounding out Part III is a beautiful piece from Rei. Love-Coloured Master Spark is a great song, but personally I like the old PC-98 original Love-Coloured Magic. Even though I say that I can’t deny that this is a great song. You’d think that because it’s orchestrated it would lose it’s playful charm, but after listening to the song just a little bit you know that it’s still very much there. You can expect to find more of Rei’s arranges along the way, but for now enjoy Magical Battle.

Can’t wait to start on Part IV so keep an eye out since it’ll be out sooner than you would think.

Nostalgic Blood, Immortal Smoke

For the last two songs of the day I bring a combo of Keine Kamishirasawa and Fujiwara no Mokou. Both of these songs, and Phantom Ensemble, are from the circle Piece of Rain. I believe they did a great job with all three.

First part of the combo is Nostalgic Blood of the East ~ Old World, Keine’s stage theme in Imperishable Night. This is one of the few stage themes I really love, and I mean really love. I don’t have much else to say, so please enjoy the song.

The second part of the combo is Fujiwara no Mokou’s theme, Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke. No one can deny that Immortal Smoke is a classic. The way Piece of Rain did this arrange just blows my mind. I’ve heard quite a few ‘rock’ arranges of Immortal Smoke, but I think this one stands out the most. There’s just something about it that seems so… perfect.

That’s all for today, I hope you enjoyed many of the songs up until now.

Phantom Ensemble on the Venerable Ancient Battlefield

There is actually 4 songs today, but I’m seperating them into two posts (you will see the reason soon enough). In this post was have Techno/Trance and Rock/Orch. Two very different genres of music yes, but this is Nuke-tan, anything goes.

For the Techno/Trance we have Revered Collapse, an arrange of The Venerable Ancient Battlefield ~ Suwa Foughten Field. Much like Native Faith, Suwa Foughten Field also scores very high on my favorite Touhou character themes. I was planning on a gorgeous orchestrated song for the first Suwa Foughten Field, but then I came across this beauty. I must say I am a bit of a fan of ALiCE’S EMOTiON so this arrange was no  surprise. There’s a few others from the same album that will be showing up so if you like this one keep an eye out.

Ghostly Band ~ Phantom Ensemble is by far my favorite Touhou character theme song. Please note that my favorite ZUN song is The Witches’ Ball ~ Magus though. Just all the elements that go into Ghostly Band ~ Phantom Ensemble makes it a masterpiece, and I am in no way exaggerating that. The reason why I love this piece so much is because of the combo between the classical instruments and the ‘raw’ guitar. It just works so well together. I do hope you enjoy this song as much as I do.

That is it for this post, but remember; there’s still two more songs for today.

Part III Catch-up – 0021-0025

I did indeed go on a short break after these two videos, Road of Darkness under the Evening Star.

I was waiting for the C76 albums to come. Lots of fresh music to pick from and so I have brought a few today. The Moon Child Shoots A Strange Bird The Gods Loved.

First is a new song from C76. A calming vocal arrange of The Gensokyo the Gods Loved from C-CLAYZ. The original is really nice so it was no surprise that I loved this arrange. The vocals are wonderful and I’m sure will show up again in the collection.

Next isn’t a new song. I simply felt like it was time to upload this piece was all. It’s the best ‘rock’ Hiroari Shoots a Strange Bird ~ Till When? I have heard yet. It’s too bad that it’s very short though. I really wish it was longer, but at least what we do have is amazing. I couldn’t find a picture to properly represent this song, my apologies for that.

Last for today is a song that blew me away. I’m a huge fan of Flight of the Bamboo Cutter ~ Lunatic Princess and am very pleased with this arrange. You should be able to tell by now, but I have a huge weak spot for orchestrated songs. I just can’t resist how they sound so powerful and graceful (Indeed that may sound odd to some). This piece was no exception of course. I’ve heard many techno/trance songs, but this brings new view to Lunatic Princess. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do.

With that Part III is halfway over. Coming up will be more C76 music so look forward to it!

The Maid and Her Princess

The final two songs in Part II are indeed paired together. I’m sure that from the title you know what to expect…

I don’t have much to say about either except that they are both great pieces. You can pick up Nuke-tan Collection Part II here and Image Collection Part II here. I’ve started to slow down on my uploads so don’t expect 5 in a day anymore. With Part II done that can only mean new songs to come and I already have some good ones planned out.
