Nostalgic Blood, Immortal Smoke

For the last two songs of the day I bring a combo of Keine Kamishirasawa and Fujiwara no Mokou. Both of these songs, and Phantom Ensemble, are from the circle Piece of Rain. I believe they did a great job with all three.

First part of the combo is Nostalgic Blood of the East ~ Old World, Keine’s stage theme in Imperishable Night. This is one of the few stage themes I really love, and I mean really love. I don’t have much else to say, so please enjoy the song.

The second part of the combo is Fujiwara no Mokou’s theme, Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke. No one can deny that Immortal Smoke is a classic. The way Piece of Rain did this arrange just blows my mind. I’ve heard quite a few ‘rock’ arranges of Immortal Smoke, but I think this one stands out the most. There’s just something about it that seems so… perfect.

That’s all for today, I hope you enjoyed many of the songs up until now.

Phantom Ensemble on the Venerable Ancient Battlefield

There is actually 4 songs today, but I’m seperating them into two posts (you will see the reason soon enough). In this post was have Techno/Trance and Rock/Orch. Two very different genres of music yes, but this is Nuke-tan, anything goes.

For the Techno/Trance we have Revered Collapse, an arrange of The Venerable Ancient Battlefield ~ Suwa Foughten Field. Much like Native Faith, Suwa Foughten Field also scores very high on my favorite Touhou character themes. I was planning on a gorgeous orchestrated song for the first Suwa Foughten Field, but then I came across this beauty. I must say I am a bit of a fan of ALiCE’S EMOTiON so this arrange was no  surprise. There’s a few others from the same album that will be showing up so if you like this one keep an eye out.

Ghostly Band ~ Phantom Ensemble is by far my favorite Touhou character theme song. Please note that my favorite ZUN song is The Witches’ Ball ~ Magus though. Just all the elements that go into Ghostly Band ~ Phantom Ensemble makes it a masterpiece, and I am in no way exaggerating that. The reason why I love this piece so much is because of the combo between the classical instruments and the ‘raw’ guitar. It just works so well together. I do hope you enjoy this song as much as I do.

That is it for this post, but remember; there’s still two more songs for today.
